Friends of Susan Powell organized a weeklong service project to motivate people to create handmade projects and donate it to a worthy cause. Local knitting shop, “Blazing Needles” made their participation evident by decking out their yard with purple ribbons as a symbolic gesture to Susan Powell, whose favorite color was purple.
